It’s a girl!

I’ve been pondering created a blog for baby #2 but haven’t bothered. But today, since we got the news, I figured now was as good a time as any to start it.

Right now, this is a private blog, so no one else can see it, but as soon as I decide to officially “release” the info to the public, I’ll likely add a widget to Bobsroom that has the posts from here and remove the password protection. For now, this is just a little spot for me to write about what is coming…

That having been said, we had another ultrasound today and without a doubt, we were told that we were having a girl. Although we both wanted just a healthy kid, I think we both kind of wanted a girl since we have a boy and it would be nice to have one of each.

Tamara was relatively sure it was a boy since there seems to be a huge lack of girls on her side of the family. Everyone who’s had kids has had boys so this is going to be pretty big news once her mom and the family find out. The first girl in the family. I suspect someone is going to get spoiled rotten by her grandmother.

For some reason, I knew it was going to be a girl. From the moment Tamara found out she was pregnant, I just had a feeling that it was going to be a girl. I think there may have been a day here and there where I didn’t feel that way but generally speaking, I’ve felt it all along.

The other thing is that I have not shared what I think with anyone. I told Tamara, and several others, that I didn’t want to share what I thought until I knew for sure. Well, now I know for sure. Sitting in the waiting area after our appointment today, I finally told Tamara that I knew it was a girl all along.

SO, now the real fun begins. We’ve got a few names picked out but we won’t be sharing that with anyone until she’s born.  We also have to work on moving some things around in the house as baby will be here in May and we need to make room for her.

All that being said, I’m pretty excited but at the same time, I’m sort of glad we’re keeping this quiet for now. It’s nice just having this to ourselves for the time being.
